Full-time Paramedic Field Supervisor or Full Time Paramedic, Village of Baldwin, WI
The Village of Baldwin is accepting applications for a full-time paramedic field supervisor and to establish a hiring list for a possible future full-time paramedic position for the Baldwin Area Ambulance Service. We are a Critical Care Paramedic Service located in western WI. We average 1,800 calls per year and cover approximately 240 sq. miles of both urban and rural areas. An ideal candidate for a field supervisor would have experience as a paramedic running in an ALS system with both prehospital and interfacility transports and have their critical endorsement or can obtain it within a year of hire. An ideal full-time paramedic would be a candidate that has their National Registry and WI license or is able to obtain a license prior to starting. Field experience would be a plus, but not required.
Duties:
- Responding to 911 emergencies and/or interfacility transports.
- Supervisory duties while at the station, incident command on-scene,
- Providing ALS intercepts with BLS services, when requested
- Helping with station tasks, for example, ordering medications and medical supplies, working with new hires, helping with public events, sporting event standbys, CPR and ACLS education.
- Position reports directly to EMS Chief.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- must be 18 years of age or older; two (2) years field experience (preferred for the duty supervisor,) full-time paramedic position does not require two years’ experience, -
- Current CPR, National Registry at Paramedic level with current ACLS and PALS certifications also required.
- Some supervisory experience for supervisor position, critical care endorsement, and NIMS/ICS a plus for either position.
Wages and Benefits
- Starting salary range around $70,000 for the supervisor.

Education: Must have National Registry and be eligible to obtain a State of Wisconsin EMT license.
Qualifications: General - Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien who is eligible for and has applied for citizenship.
Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application. Must have good character and reputation; superior self-command, alertness, and judgment; ability to establish and maintain good working and public relations. Conviction of a serious offense, repeated or numerous convictions for minor offenses, conviction of an offense involving moral turpitude, or discharge from the military service under other than honorable conditions may be disqualifying.
Candidates must be able to work any combination of weekends and/or weekday shifts- evenings or day shifts. EMT's are paid on call and per run, these are part time positions, you choose work hours based on your availability each month.
Candidate must have a valid driver's license with no significant driving record. Prior experience in a pre-hospital EMS agency is desired. Preference will be given to those that live in the immediate service area. Candidate must also possess effective interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
