CPR Training Center

Emergencies happen. They strike us at work, at home, on the farm, in the car, at play and often when we least expect them.

Part of our mission is to provide the public with education and skills to deal with emergency situations properly. We offer the following courses several times per year through the Baldwin-Woodville Community Education Program, watch for their fliers each fall, winter and spring. We also offer courses to businesses and organizations with a group of six or more students. To set up a class, simply call us at least 30 days in advance at 715-684-3188 and ask for Craig or Brandon. All classes are held at our station in Baldwin.

Baldwin EMS Training Center is an authorized independent Training Center certified by the American Safety & Health Institute® a nationally accredited agency equivalent with American Heart Association, American Red Cross, and National Safety Council.

We also offer programs through AMERICAN ACADEMY OF ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEONS PROFESSIONAL RESCUER CPR (AAOS). Both ASHI and AAOS programs are accepted by CVTC, WITC, the State of Wisconsin as well as JCAHO.

CPR and AED for the Community and Workplace


CPR-AED for the Community and Workplace provides individuals with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective basic life support in an emergency for adults, children and infants. 

This course is intended for Persons who do not work in the health care field but are occupationally required to, or desire to, have CPR knowledge and skills, such as emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents, babysitters, or any one that wants to know what to do in a cardiac emergency. 

The initial course is 4 hours, and costs $22.00 per person. Successful completion of the course includes a 25 question test and practical skills station. You'll receive a handbook, instruction and a nationally recognized completion card good for 2 years.

 

Basic First Aid for the Community and Workplace


Basic First Aid program participants learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of injuries and sudden illness. Crucial information about how to deal with emergencies like bleeding, shock, burns, strains, fractures, allergic reaction, diabetic and seizures is shared. Properly applied first aid can save lives, reduce recovery time and quite possibly mean the difference between temporary disability or lifelong disability for the victim.

This course is intended for individuals who require or desire elementary first aid knowledge and skills with a focus on adults and children; including emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents and babysitters.

The initial course is 4-5 hours, and costs $22.00 per person. Successful completion of the course includes a 25 question test and practical skills station. You'll receive a handbook, instruction and a nationally recognized completion card good for 2 years.

CPR PROfor the Professional Rescuer & Healthcare Provider


CPR Pro for the Professional Rescuer and Health Care Provider has been approved by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS)* and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

The program has been also been approved by Wisconsin DHFS for health agencies and may be used to meet the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization’s (JCAHO) Resuscitation Standard. This course is intended for healthcare providers, first responders, and professional rescuers in and outside the hospital or for those needing professional-level basic life support training as a job requirement covering one and two person rescue for adults, child and infant.

The initial course is 7-8 hours; the cost is $60 per person. Successful completion of the course includes a 50 question test scoring at least 80% and practical skills stations. You'll receive a handbook, instruction and a nationally recognized completion card good for 2 years. Refresher courses are about half the length and the cost per person is $45. This course is offered several times per year, it is also offered to groups of six or more: nursing homes, clinics, dentist offices, and other health care groups who wish to contract us please call 715-684-3188 with 30 days advanced notice. Bloodborne Pathogens Awareness Program


The Bloodborne Pathogens awareness program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others.

The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. This course is intended for any employee who has a reasonable anticipation of contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials as a result of performing designated job duties, including but not limited to; healthcare workers, public safety personnel, housekeeping and custodial workers, educational and correctional workers and designated first aid providers.

The course is 2 hours, and costs $22.00 per person. You are given a nationally recognized completion card good for One year. Federal OSHA regulations require that bloodborne pathogens training be provided to employees with occupational exposure at least annually.

Emergency Medical Response for Adults in the Workplace™ 


Emergency Medical Response for Adults in the Workplace is a combined CPR, AED, and basic first aid training program designed specifically to arm laypersons with the minimum knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency care for suddenly ill or injured adults during the usually brief interval between the incident and arrival of emergency medical care professionals. Expanded information on bloodborne pathogens and emergency oxygen administration is included to enhance knowledge and understanding of these two important and related emergency care topics.

Intended for Laypersons in business and industry that require or desire basic emergency care which includes bloodborne pathogens, emergency oxygen administration, first aid, and CPR/AED. Knowledge and skills with a focus on adults.

The course is 7 to 8 hours in length. We offer it to businesses or organizations with six or more participants. The cost is $50 per person, and each participant receives nationally recognized completion card. Please call at least 30 days prior to the dates you wish to contract for.
